Technical Support Manager

Job Duties Summary:
Provide management oversight and integration of issues for several large MontaVista customers in Japan and potentially elsewhere.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to meet the needs of our largest Subscribers who have different demands than the typical customer
- Manage their issues and defects using a process that can be shared with the customer
- Manage the MontaVista engineering team to ensure that problems are dealt with quickly and use excellent quality
- Work with both the customer and MV engineers on new functionality requests to either be dealt with via Professional Services
- Coordinate and Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and ensure Customer and MontaVista Roadmaps are aligned as possible
- Attend weekly meetings with such customers acting as the lead and coordinator
- Proactively contribute to continuous product and process improvement

Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- BS in CS/EE or equivalent work experience and 3+ years of technical development experience in Linux and/or Unix
- 3+ years of technical program management or other management experience
- Knowledge of Embedded Systems
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal
- Ability to work extremely well in a supportive, team environment
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent Customer relationships
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Some travel will be required
- Japanese written and spoken language skills
